THE COUNTRY ISSUE IS OUT NOW!

Post Script received tons and tons of mail this month! We even had to bribe Jacques, our handyman, to help us carry the large load up the stairs to the top floor of the ROCK-SHOTS mansion! He’s been griping about a bad back as a result, but we’re happy!

POST SCRIPT C/o ROCK-SHOTS 7715 SUNSET BLVD. SUITE 202 LOS ANGELES, CA 90046

Post Script received tons and tons of mail this month! We even had to bribe Jacques, our handyman, to help us carry the large load up the stairs to the top floor of the ROCK-SHOTS mansion! He’s been griping about a bad back as a result, but we’re happy! In other words—keep writing! And, don’t worry about Jacques—he’s recovering quite well!

Letters regarding Jon Bon Jovi, Duran Duran and the Monkees continue to pour in! And, who can blame you? These are hot groups you’re writing about! ROCKSHOTS can’t emphasize enough how much we love your letters! We’re happy to print them and the winners of our famous contests will get their picture printed in Post Script (as long as you send one in). Can’t beat that!

We look forward to your upcoming letters!

I got your letter yesterday and was I ever surprised! I still can’t believe I won a free subscription to ROCK-SHOTS! I’ve just started reading your mag and I love it! I would love to see more “beefcake” pin-ups—otherwise your mag is great!

Keilani Mosier

Hoopa, CA

(Keilani, “beefcake” pin-ups are part of ROCK-SHOTS’ line-up this month. We’ve got Sting & John Cougar Mellencamp. Or, if you prefer the Metal Set—we Ve got Jon Bon Jovi or David Coverdale of Whitesnake. Something for everyone!—Ed.)

Thanks a lot for the free subscription. I’m really happy that I won. I really enjoy reading your magazine. Keep putting in lots of pictures of Bon Jovi and lots of articles, too! They are the coolest band ever. Can you put in an interview and centerfold of Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi? He is the best-looking guy!

Tami Miller

Phoenix, AZ

(Tami, would you settle for a Bon Jovi update? Our English correspondent talked to Jon very recently & we thought our readers would enjoy hearing what he’s saying about his new success! Hope you enjoy it!—Ed.)

I came back from England this summer and was surprised at the many changes here. We got ROCK-SHOTS at the Air Force base I was at, and my friends and I read it because of the Duran Duran articles.

Speaking of Duran, my friend Joan and I saw them in concert at Wembley Arena—it was a birthday present from my dad.

Could you please print even more on Duran and a little about their wives or girlfriends? Thanks so much.

Renee Butler

Fort Worth, TX

(Watch for continued coverage on Duran Duran, as the Notorious trio continue making news!—Ed.)

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You don’t know how happy I am to have won a year’s subscription to ROCK-SHOTS! I can’t believe it!

I have entered so many contests and never won, so you could imagine how shocked I was to win!

I don’t know what else to say. Here is a picture of me—not one of the best, but better than nothing.

I would like to see my favorite—Don Johnson—in your magazine and also U2.

Thanks again.

Thank you for putting a fold-out poster of Poison in ROCK-SHOTS! Also, the Motley Crue section. Do you think you could put a centerfold of the Crue in your next issue?

Last, but not least, I also like the Shots In The Dark section. Keep up the good work!

Heather Taylor

Winchester, VA

(Heather, check out the Crue in our “Best of Live Rock” section! They’re hot & they’re happening! It’s true!—Ed.)

Attention all Monkees fans! If you care a lot about the guys and would like to help them, listen up!

As you already may know, the Monkees were nominated for a star on the Walk of Fame (by Monkee Business fanzine), but were turned down by the Walk of Fame Committee, for no reason! If you would like to help the guys receive a star, write letters, petitions, etc., to:

Johnny Grant, Chairman of the Walk of Fame Committee, c/o KTLA-TV, 5800 West Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028

Please help change the committee’s mind, as soon as possible. Thank you ROCK-SHOTS!

I just recently started buying ROCKSHOTS regularly. The reason? All of the great items on Duran Duran! I am the president of a Duran Duran fan forum and it’s really nice to see so many pictures and articles on them. Please continue to feature items on Duran Duran—we let our members know which magazines have Duran Duran each month.

In response to Marla Jacobson’s (Atlanta, GA) letter: Marla, you claim to be one of the “last few remaining Duranies”— don’t despair yet! I am in contact with thousands of Duranies, and I hear from hundreds more every month. We’re not a dying breed—in fact, we’re gaining in numbers every day. If you’d like to get in contact with some of these people, please write us for more information (other Duranies are welcome to write, too!): The DDASPE, P.O. Box 127, Baraboo, Wl 53913. And, Marla, remember, it doesn’t matter who else you like besides Duran Duran—whether it be Bon Jovi, Madonna, or someone else—as long as you like Duran Duran, that’s all that matters.

Thank you ROCK-SHOTS Post Script, for letting me air my views. Please keep up the good work!
