In Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, a young Ebru Yildiz had escaped the prison of being forced to only listen to what her DJ brother or the radio spoonfed her. Then she discovered Shades, a small corner record store located in a mini-mall. It was bursting at the seams with titles, with boxes of records and CDs spilled onto the floors and utility shelves outside the store, but Yildiz managed to find the one disc that would change her life forever: The Velvet Underground & Nico.
