"One time I came back from a tour and he goes, 'Hey, Buddy, how you doing?’ He was driving this beautiful Buick Riviera 1966. I said, 'Johnny, I never knew you had your license.’ He goes, ‘Yeah, it’s my car, you know.’ And it’s his sister’s. 'Yeah, I’m trying to sell it, Buddy.’ I go, ‘I’ll buy it.’ And Johnny goes, 'Give me 50 bucks, man, and it’s yours.’”

Buddy Bowser takes a swig of beer and says, "Can you imagine buying a car for 50 bucks, man? It was like, wow.”

Then Buddy Bowser wraps up the story about how he bought, from Johnny Thunders, a car that belonged to Thunders’ sister.
