ROLLIN’ THE (20-SIDED) DICE
D&D with Dutch Interior.

There’s just something about that relentless Southern California sun. Its endless, blinding summer rays can drive a person mad—or they can illuminate portals to other worlds. A few weeks ago, on a particularly golden day, I journeyed south on the 710 freeway and found myself not in Long Beach but in an abandoned safehouse in the multiverse known as Planescape, which is where you’ll also find the band Dutch Interior on increasingly rare days off in between tour dates, rehearsals, recording, and band interviews.
In Planescape, they’re Breakbeat Barry, an astral elf sorcerer; Tiny, a Goliath paladin; Rustin Buster, a satyr rogue; Dustin Buster, a satyr bard; Puck Shimmerling, a fairy fighter; and their omniscient, cloaked Dungeon Master. Out of Planescape, they are Jack Nugent, Noah Kurtz, Hayden Barton, Conner Reeves, Davis Stewart, and Shane Barton, who have been playing D&D together since high school.
