JOHN CALE
Check out John Cale’s hilariously smug look as he sits on the hood of his Ferrari 1970 Dino 246 GT, crotch forward, devilishly grinning like a Cheshire cat and clearly the inspiration for Tawny Kitaen in that one Whitesnake video. Despite his best efforts, it’s unlikely he’ll be remembered as a “video vixen.”

JOHN CALE
CREEM STARS CARS
Check out John Cale’s hilariously smug look as he sits on the hood of his Ferrari 1970 Dino 246 GT, crotch forward, devilishly grinning like a Cheshire cat and clearly the inspiration for Tawny Kitaen in that one Whitesnake video. Despite his best efforts, it’s unlikely he’ll be remembered as a “video vixen.” It’ll be for being in the Velvet Underground, as well as a prolific solo artist, producer, and actor. Yes, Cale is many great things, but the man is not made for slithering atop a precision vehicle, like in this photo from back in ’77. We’ll grant Cale a mulligan (or 10), but we still wouldn’t mind seeing him in a negligee.
