THE MONKEES RETURN!

Hey, hey, it’s the Monkees, And people say they monkey around, But they’re too busy singing, To put anybody down. They’re just trying to be friendly, Come and watch them sing and play, They’re the young generation, And they’ve got something to say.

THE MONKEES RETURN!

Hey, hey, it’s the Monkees, And people say they monkey around, But they’re too busy singing, To put anybody down. They’re just trying to be friendly, Come and watch them sing and play, They’re the young generation, And they’ve got something to say.

Who would’ve ever believed back in 1967 the above song could possibly apply to 1987?\ But, it’s true! The Monkees have returned (again!)!!

Last year, the Monkees took America by storm with concerts, public appearances, records, videos and the resurgence of their 1960s hit TV series. It was as though the Monkees had never gone away and everyone from young to old were consumed by Monkeemania!

And... as if all this wasn’t enough, the Monkees are back in 1987. Recently, two new Monkees albums of previously unreleased songs were released by Rhino Records. Called Live ’67 and Missing Links, the LPs were recorded back in 1966-68, but never released until now! And two additional never-before-released albums of original Monkees material are on their way!

And there are other events coming up as well: Another U.S. tour, a brand new studio album, a brand new movie and— who knows what else! Yes, the Monkees are currently working on all these projects and the word out is that we’ll see them shortly, possibly even by the time you read this! Exciting stuff for Monkees fans!

The new Monkees album will be produced by Roger Bechirian (he also produced Squeeze and Elvis Costello) and rumors keep surfacing that Mike Nesmith will make a guest appearance on the LP with Davy, Micky and Peter! A true Monkees reunion might be in store for all of us! The new movie will be a comedy—something the Monkees are extremely qualified at!

The Monkees have really returned! And everyone, no doubt, is happy!
