Madonna is taking on the world this summer! She started her new Who's That Girl? concert tour in Japan where tickets sold-out instantly! She then returned to the U.S. to tour her native land for awhile with plans to continue touring in Europe immediately following.

Madonna is taking on the world this summer! She started her new Who's That Girl? concert tour in Japan where tickets sold-out instantly! She then returned to the U.S. to tour her native land for awhile with plans to continue touring in Europe immediately following. As a reward to her faithful fans, the summer concerts will preview the new songs from the longawaited new Madonna record. To be released in October, the new disc is a dance-track EP titled You Can Dance.
Madonna is also appearing in theaters and drive-ins near you this summer! In her third starring role, Madonna plays Nikki Finn in the movie (you guessed it.. .) Who’s That Girl? It’s the story about a New Yorker (Madonna) who is released from a four-year prison sentence for a murder she didn’t commit. Madonna’s gum-smacking, wisecracking character then seeks to uncover the fiends that framed her!
So it looks as though Madonna is following in the footsteps of her idol, Marilyn Monroe. “I hate to say it though,” she recently told Johnny Carson on her first talk show appearance ever, “because I get compared to her a lot, just because we have the same hair color!”
Madonna also wrote and sang four of the songs in the film; the soundtrack was released in July. Madonna is back this summer, and she is hotter than ever!
