It looks like Ratt fever is here to stay! The handsome guys of Ratt—Stephen Pearcy, Robbin Crosby, Juan Croucier, Warren DeMartini and Bobby Blotzer— were part of the initial heavy metal invasion that swept out of Los Angeles during the early part of the '80s. Along with the Crue, critics and rock haters alike predicted that Ratt would be just another rock 'n' roll flash in the pan—but, like the Crue, Ratt have proven themselves to have definite staying power.
Following two acclaimed LPs, Out Of The Cellar and Invasion Of Your Privacy, the Ratt boys followed it up with their recent Dancing Undercover. The record got them much play on the critically-important MTV, and they followed all this hoopla with a sensational tour on which they shared the stage with Poison; a double bill that often got the show dubbed the “Ratt Poison” tour.
As if this wasn’t enough, Ratt made their sex appeal immortal when Stephen Pearcy joined the ranks of Burt Reynolds and other notables by posing nude for Playgirl magazine! Said the ever-adorable Steve: "I did it ’cause it was fun. I guess I'm an exhibitionist at heart. You’ve got to show off a little bit in this business.”
And unlike the typical class clown, Ratt have more than demonstrated that “showing off” can often pay in the rock ’n’ roll business!
