CINDERELLA

Tom Keifer (guitar), Jeff LaBar (guitar), Eric Brittingham (bass) and Fred Coury (drums)—they seem like pretty normal, All-American names, huh? Well, put ’em all together and you've got Cinderella, a deceptive name for a hard-rocking quartet.

Springing from the rough club scene of Philadelphia and New Jersey, Cinderella took the world by storm with their debut album, Night Songs, which has already sold over two million copies. And, though their music stands on its own, the guys of Cinderella are quick to acknowledge their debt to fellow local Bon Jovi:

“Jon just happened to catch us in Philly while he was recording his album 7800° Fahrenheit at a downtown Philadelphia studio,” recalls Keifer. “Next thing I knew, our manager said, ‘What did you guys do to Jon Bon Jovi? He’s up at his record company raving about you guys.’ We said, ‘we just played.’ ”

And playing is what they do best. If Bon Jovi was one of their first fans, he certainly won’t be among the last: after touring with Jon and his band, Cinderella found their own niche. By “just playing.”
