11 just bought the September issue of ROCK-SHOTS! I bought it because of the article about Mr. Mister! I really Mr. Mister! Especially |ieir guitarist Steve Farris. I (link he’s totally fine. I’m g in about the comment "questions about your snapir, red-ear or soft-backed can

be sent to Steve c/o ROCKSHOTS.” What do you mean about ‘‘Rock ’n’ Roll Turtle Expert?” Does he like turtles or something? How old is he? What nationality is he? What part of Nebraska is he from? Does he have a girlfriend? Is it true that he’s dating Prince’s guitarist, Wendy Melvoin? Does he have any brothers or sisters? How old was he when he started playing the guitar? How much money does he make? How much does he weigh? How tall is he? Can you please write back to me and answer these questions? I buy every issue of ROCK-SHOTS!

(Whew. Ed. will be honest with you, Bernadette: we don’t know the answers to all your questions. However, Brit Buzz does! Ed. will send an inquiry to B.B. posthaste and get back to you.

And—for the record—yes, Steve is indeed a turtle expert. He urges you to treat your friendly reptilian pets with kindness, and to never paint their shells!—Ed.)

■Just wanted to say thanks for the article and full-page picture of the recording star, palco. So little has been written about him; yet his music and videos are popular and ||dely played. I especially enjayed reading how he selected the name ‘‘Falco.” Once a9ain, thanks. I look forward to reading more about Falco in your upcoming issues.

I purchased ROCK PIX and I’d like to commend, as well as thank you, for finally printing a solo picture of A-Ha’s Pal Waaktaar. I am a truly devoted fan to A-Ha’s music and looks, especially Pal. I am upset to see Morten Harket always being in the limelight. I'm not saying Morten doesn’t deserve attention, because he does. But, as I’ve noticed with other groups and magazines, the lead vocalist always gets full attention. However, Pal writes the music and he was in it with Mags before Morten came into the picture. Thanx for giving Pal some individuality and keep it up. If you see Pal, tell him I love him, his music and his lyrics. Keep printing A-Ha, especially Pal, and you’ll have a buyer for life!

For your new ROCK-SHOTS interview section, I'd like to see an interview with the Outfield! Also, thanks for the Hooters interview!

Tracey Spector

Akron, OH

(Hope you caught our full-length feature on the Outfield in our October issue, Tracey. If not, you can still order it as a back issue.-Ed.)

I recently read your interview with the Hooters' Andy King, and I thought it was great. It is very refreshing to finally see some material on the guys. I am a very BIG fan of the Hooters, since their Amore album. I learned a lot about Andy, along with the other guys, especially Dave. I was truly surprised to hear about Dave’s drug problem. I’m so thankful that he has gotten over it. I just hope they are able to stay away from all the bad things.

I’ve been lucky enough to see the guys in concert 13 times on their Nervous Night tour, at Live Aid, and recent-

ly, at Amnesty. You wouldn’t believe all the planning we had to do for our mini-tour with the guys. After our tour I received a thank you note from their manager, Steve. That was great.

In closing, I loved your interview and all the fantastic photos. If you ever see the guys again, please just let them know that they will always have a devoted fan here in Newburgh.

Sue Lashomb

Newburgh, NY (Thanks, Sue. And don't worry—we at ROCK-SHOTS expect to be covering the Hooters for a long time.—Ed.)
