PROFILE: Jason & the (formerly Nashville) Scorchers released their Reckless Country Soul EP to positive reviews and patchy distribution, followed it up with Fervor on an indy label, got rave reviews from some important critics, re-released the EP on EMI (after adding a terrific cover of Dylan’s “Absolutely Sweet Marie”), and are currently on their way to big success with their blend of American music styles.
