After two days in the studio, Moroder suddenly left, supposedly due to his full involvement with the next Donna Summer LP. Thus, no more “Call Me’”s—instead, former and future brickhead Mike Chapman has returned to the fold.

At presstime, word’s reached us that Keith Godcheanx, former pianist with the Grateful Dead, died of head injuries after a car accident in California. Especially sad news, as both he and his wife Donna— another former Grateful Dead member—had just put together their own band, Ghost, which had been doing quite well in ^ the San Francisco Bay area... '
Good news for El void fans: Columbia will soon release a new Elvis Costello LP which’ll have most of the paranoid one's heretofore unavailable-in-the-U.S. material on it, of which there's mucho. Looks like effete Anglophiles'll have to be content with actual A merican pressings of the disc, but of course REAL Elvis fans’ll have most of this stuff anyway .Good news regardless...
