PROFILE: Blasting out of the Motor City like The Alien, this rock ’n’ roll hero found some Wheels and made the big time (Who else would have the nerve to name his band “Detroit”?); then went on to Colorado to study the architecture of 19th century factories. Curiosity sated, he was recalled to the Motor City for transmission overhaul, and has been sockin’ it to ’em (and sweating) ever since.
