THE SOUTHS GREATEST HITS (Capricorn).

Hello, I say HELLO. Foghorn Leghorn here with news of a delightful,.! say DELIGHTFUL new collection of rock tunes grown right here in the heart of glorious Dixie. (Pay attention son, Im talking to you.) Yes siree, our good old boys have seen to it, the South has risen again and taken its rightful place in rock 'n roll. And now Capricorn records has put together a collection of the finest, I say FINEST moments from the Dixie-rock resurgence.

For starters you get not one, but two Allman classics, “Ramblin Man," featuring Dickey Betts, and Greggs verson of “Midnight Rider" from his Laid Back album, as well as Wet Willies “Keep on Smilin " and “Fire On The Mountain" by The Marshall Tucker Band. (You getting all this, son? Am I going too fast, I say AM I GOING TOO FAST for you?) Also included is Elvin Bishops “Fooled Around And Fell In Love" and “The Souths

Gonna Do It Again" by Charlie Daniels from his Volunteer Jam elpee.

But thats not the half, I say NOT THE HALF OF IT. The nice folks at Capricorn went out and got five more gems from the competition so you can get the whole shootin match. ABC rented them “Third Rate Romance" by The Rhythm Aces—bet that didnt come cheap. And they sprung for “There Goes Another Love Song" by The Outlaws and “Doraville" by The Atlanta Rhythm Section. They even give you a taste of the exotic South with Dr. Johns .“Right Place, Wrong Time." (Did I ever, I say DID I EVER tell you about the time I met this chickadee in New Orleans? Maybe thatd better^wait until you get your first pair of long pants, son.) ■

Naturally Ive saved the best, I say IVE saved the best for last. Remember “Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd? Well, that ones there too, and the whole shebang comes in a sleeve that would pass for one of those fancy Maxfield Parrish prints in a dim light. If you tried to get all these records separately, it would set you back a pretty penny; but for a limited time only you can get them all on this one...

(What do you mean the TV spots been cancelled? I dont care if the albums taken off by itself. I came all the way down here! I gave up a weeks work on The Out Of Work Celebrity Game! You(l be hearing, I say YOULL BE HEARING FROM MY AGENT! These young whippersnappers got no respect, I say no respect, for their elders.)
