STARZ ANOTHER KIND OF ROCK

The most important thing anyone can say about Starz is that they’re their own band. In these days when rock and roll breeds imitators who are ready to step into other’s shoes, Starz have decided to approach rock from a unique and often compelling attitude that centers around a hard rocking stage show.

Starz was the second major headliner added to the Aucoin Management line-up after the runaway success of Kiss. The band was launched by a clever series of free concerts in selected cities and then continued out on the road following a difficult, grinding formula that is the only one that really works: play, and play and play for as many people as possible and don’t worry about anything else but giving a good show,

Richie Ranno, Brenden Harkin, Peter Sweval, Joe X. Dube, and ’ Michael Lee Smith have followed that formula to the limit and the result is one of the hardest rocking and working bands on the current scene.
