PETER CRISS

September 2, 1977

The CREEM Archive presents the magazine as originally created. Digital text has been scanned from its original print format and may contain formatting quirks and inconsistencies.

Here we see Peter Criss doing his famous imitation of Marcel Marceau playing Al Jolson and demonstrating conclusively that the silent art in whiteface lives on — just like this hot little 1955 MG. And indeed (but wasn't that a clever lead-in?) why shouldn't it (I mean the car) live on with its straight four, 1500c.c. engine, that can rev itself all the way to 5000 rpm and still get 30 miles to the gallon on its 12 gallon tank! In fact, you'd call that real staying power if the thing ever stayed anywhere! And for only five grand I'd also call this machine a deal, or, as they used to say in Brooklyn (remember Pete?) a steal!
