Well, actually it is lovely Linda's back (ha, ha, ha...), upon which rests the satin slick "OFFICIAL 1976 WINGS TOUR JACKET". Good luck trying to get one to cover your own summer sunburned shoulders, though. The WINGS troupe needs every single one to identify exactly who's who in the largest entourage of band members, managers, road/sound/light crews, promo/press people ever to glide through the good ol' U.S. of A. during if not the most exciting, the biggest interest-generating rock 'n' roll tour of the Seventies. The more beautiful than life ex-Beatle is back in America for his first musical appearance in ten years; and believe it or not, sounding better than ever before. Just ask any of the network TV camera persons that encircle Paul and Linda -tighter than a Maidenform on a buxom pair of nyanyas. Mixing the best of his old Beatle hits like "Yesterday" and "Blackbird" with the latest WINGS muzak, McCartney carries off the two-and-onehalf hour show like the true champion of rock-pop that he most certainly is. Bust bones to catch this band on the run when they gallop through your town and don't miss our exclusive exploration of Paul and Linda's duodenums by Hair Diktor Lester Bangs in the next issue of CREEM.
