DREEM BAND
Jimi Hendrix (guitar): “One of my great dreams was to play rhythm behind Jimi’s lead. It’s hard for me to think of him as dead because his music still lives and I think it always will. I got to play with him and we enjoyed each other’s company. I didn’t want anything from him and he didn’t want anything from me.”

Paul Rodgers (vocalist): “He’s my favorite of all times. I did a session with him and he blew my mind. He once told me that one of his idols was B.B. King and you can actually hear that some of his phrasing is a great deal like B.B.’s. His voice is so much like an instrument that sometimes it’s really hard to believe that it’s a voice.”
Felix Pappalardi (bass): “He knows my style the best, or at least I feel most compatible with him. I’ve played with Felix with an organ, horns, and now as a trio. I think he comes off just as great backing me up as the lead instrument in the group does. And he does it like no one else because there isn’t any competition with us like there is in other three-piece groups.”
Ginger Baker (drums): “I have never played with Ginger, but having listened to everything he ever did, and idolizing Cream, I would have wanted to play music with him.” ~ "
Allan Toussaint (keyboards): “My choice for a real funky rock and roll pianist to play with. He’s known for his great songwriting and production, but having done a few sessions with him I know how great he can play. We played one night, warming up for a session for a couple of hours, and went from classical to pop, to rock, to ‘Exodus’. r. a true genius talent.”
The Who (band): “If I had my choice to just join a group, to play lead guitar, it would be the Who. The reason being that when they came over here two or three years ago, Pete Townshend called me to help them do some recording in just this same idea so Pete wouldn’t have to overdub guitar. It came out fantastic. We did tunes that you’ve heard of called ‘We Won’t Get Fooled Again,’ ‘Behind Blue Eyes,’ and one I can’t remember. They weren’t released because of some contractual malarkey, but Pete wrote me a letter saying they came out as. some of the Who’s best sessions. I would just love to play leads over Townshend’s rhythms.”
