If you're fond of the Fondas this is the month for you. First, Daughter Jane. After a brief absence from movieland, she is back starring in a picture titled The Dollmaker. It's the story of an Appalachian woman and her children uprooted from their mountain home and thrust into a new way of life circa WWII, Detroit. Jane has still held to her vow to make only films of "social significance." She's one star who practices what she preaches. In real life she answers phones at the Indochina Peace Corp Headquarters in Los Angeles. Now for Father Fonda. When he was told he looked younger than Liz Taylor in the plastic surgery-themed Ash Wednesday, Hank quipped: "I am younger than Elizabeth Taylor." Now for baby bear, or All In The Family. The three are about to team and do their first film together. Peter owns the rights to a Howard Fast novel about Valley Forge and George Washington, and somehow he managed to talk Henry and Jane into costarring with him... Fashions on parade: Bianca Jagger was dressed to the nines for the London Charity Premier of Paper Moon. Mrs. J. was stunning in scarlet, velvet and furs. You know right out of the pages of Vogue. Sorry we can't say the same about Mick. He was dressed early country with a greatcoat, pullover, a scarf knotted at the neck, and an open fly!. .. Warren Beatty adds another notch. While in NYC he picked up where he left off in California with Twiggy. That leaves us with two questions: where exactly did he begin, and where did Michael Whitney (the Twig's costar in W and latest flame) leave off?... Lorna Luft is following in sister Liza Minelli's footsteps on two counts. First she is an excellent performer, and second she also vehemently declares "I am not another Judy Garland."... Walk softly and carry a big stick? Joe Don Baker isn't sure whether or not he'll do a nude scene in the shooting of the sequel to Walking Tall because of the size of his stick. In the meantime, he is also costarring in a kung fu flick called Golden Needles... Dwayne Hickman confessed that he's starring in a pilot to revive his Dobie Gillis character. Now Dobie will be a married man, but will not have Maynard around to help out... sounds like The Bob Newhart Show... Let's Make A Deal's Monty Hall got his back pounded out of whack by an overeager fan who had just won a freezer full of orangutan meat. . Joe Namath, when he's not busy doing pantyhose commercials for TV, has found some time to squeeze in a movie. He's playing the lead in the movie version of the bestselling book, North Dallas Forty. Why of course it's about football... Liberace comes out of the closet. Well at least his clothes do, for charity. When Lee isn't wearing his utterly, utterly fabulous costumes he lends them to charity organizations who borrow them to raise money by putting them on display and charging money to see them. How much would you pay to see Liberace's jeweled jockey shorts. Had enough? He lives in the San Fernando Valley becausethe air is dry there and he feels it's better for his pianos... The Couple of the Hour. Mae West, in her six inch platforms, found herself sitting to the right of Alice Cooper at a recent Hollywood party. Alice told Mae he'd love to do something with her. Mae replied, "Well why not sweetie?" Alice answered, "How about a revival of Naughty Marietta?" Mae said "Okay, big boy, but I'll fight you for the lead!" ... Did you hear that Gloria Steinhem remarked that A1 Pacino is the real Dustin Hoffman. Well I got news for you, Mae West is the real Gloria Steinhem... Don't invite them to the same party department. James Caan and Elliot Gould. Why? Jimmy told Andy Warhol that Gould does "what guys like John Wayne do — play the same characters all the time, and that's, that's not art". . . Jeannie Heartbreak Kid Berlin arrived at the last day of filming Sheila Levine is Dead and Living In New York with a bagel taped to her forehead.. . Ann Margaret will be returning to the screen in Ken Russell's version of the Who's Tommy. Other notables are Elton John as the Pinball Wizard, Eric Clapton as the preacher, Tina Turner as the Acid Queen, Keith Moon as Uncle Ernie and of course Roger baby as Tommy.. . Pretty boy Robert Redford will star in a Watergate-themed saga called^// The President's Men. He'll play Martha Mitchell...
