1973 CReem ROCK 'N' ROLL POLL

It's that time again. We've reached that point in history where everybody's gotta have an opinion. If you can paste somebody else with it, so much the better; verily, without opinionated putzes there would have been no CREEM at all. Thus, the CREEM Readers Poll for that never to be forgotten year, uh... 1973.

1973. We all had so much fun staying awake through it, and here's where all those fond memories come home to roost. What noise gave ypu your biggest thrill last year? Better yet, who proffered the grossest insult? It's easy, it's fun, it's your chance to contribute to the greater glory of those you love and get revenge on the rest.

The rules are simplicity itself: just send your list of answers to the non-questions posed below to CREEM, P.O. Box P-1064, Birmingham, Mi. 48012, attention: Reader Polls,

before March 1.

The requirements are few but ironclad: all albums have to have been released in calendar year 1973 — from January 1 to December 31. If you're in doubt, go ahead and nominate your favorite, but a vote for Exile On Main Street or Transformer would be wasted.

Other stuff: the Most Valuable Player category caused some confusion last year (people were voting, probably with some justification, for athletes). What it should represent is Individual instrumentalists who have made large-scale contributions to the bands they're in, or session men who have contributed measurably to albums by other people — as opposed to Best Instrumentalist, who could be playing alone in an orgone box.
