Stand Up and Be Counted (what Columbia Pictures calls a Women's Liberation Movie) starring Jacqueline Bissett, opened at a benefit for the Denver Police Athletic League.

If you saw Elliot Gould on Dick Cavett�s Show you already know that he will try to play Raymond Chandler in The Big Sleep. Nina Van Palandt (Clifford Irving�s friend) has left the supper club circuit to join the cast.

Terry Southern, William Burroughs and Holly Woodlawn are among the judges of the Second Annual New York Erotic Film Festival this fall.

Eroticon, the hard-core, sexualrevolution documentary has turned into a spoof on censorship by an addition of $28,000 worth of artwork (including articles on porn from The New York Times, personal ads from Screw, massage parlor ads in The Village Voice and erotic art samples). Sequences from Rudolph Valentino's Blood and Sand are also inserted. All this to break into SO theatres in NYC from an exclusive showing of the original uncut version at The Rialto.

The Phantom Vs. The Fourth Reich/ King Features� (Yellow Submarine) latest film stars Peter Sellers playing both Adolph Hitler and his son Heinrich. Adolph has two more movies this year with Alec Guiness and Charlie Chaplin's re-release of The Great Dictator.

The Free Theatre Associates have given the feature, FTA-Free (Fuck) The Army, film of performances with Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland on military bases to American International Pictures for release.

Winter Soldier has been distributed to 100 college and university affiliates of the Video Tape Network. Rejected by all three major television networks it�s been programmed by cinema societies, museums, organizations and churches.

The legend of Lizzie Borden�s famous ax (or at least her parent's 40 wacks) will be brought to the screen by the director of The Other and Summer of 42, Robert Mulligan. The movie deals with the murders, the trial and her aquittal. CREEMer Ben Edmonds tells us his grand-father was legendary Lizzie�s doctor.
