YPSILANTI, Mich. — The legendary SRC (formerly the Scot Richard Case, among other things) have at last opened their recording studio for public use. Morgan Sound is equipped for four track demos only at present though the set-up will eventually include sixteen track capability.

The band, which is presently undergoing a name change, is also going to set up their own label. They did three albums for Capitol, none of which were that well received, and the band feels that a good part of that is due to Capitol. So by the end of January, mabe the beginning of February, the SRC will have a new name, a new single and a shiny new lp for the fans.

As for the la bel itself studio, Pete Andrews, the band’s manager, said, “If you’ve got the promotion ideas, and you’re doing the promotion, then all you need is the distribution. If the product is good, it’ll sell.”
