Lil Awrfin' FANNIE

PETER WOLF

A Little Orphan Annie parody from the Stanford Unviersity Chaparral. Panel three covers the situation usually found in the earlier eight-pager Orphan Annie exploits. Annie displays a physical appearance appropriate to her true age. The streetwalker setting and her crude remark to da mutt indicate an adult mental

outlook as well. At this point the artist has farced the issue as far as faculty censorship will allow, and he begs the question by returning to the premise of the real strip. In panel five Annie selflessly gives the dog her recently sprouted allure, and in the final panel she reaffirms her eternal adolescence.
