I Would like to bring to your attention a tragedy that happened recently at Tabatha coffee house. Charly Butterworth, a fine respected folk singer, came to Detroit because he, as soon as everybody in the states will, realized that it is here that music is happening. Consonant of what Charly is like he came to Detroit and sat in Metro Airport on the floor playing for the people. He had no place to go (And having the wonderful Freaks we do have in Detroit) some kids came along and took him home as a pet. One of these Freaks called me up and asked me to give him a job. Of course I jumped at the chance to give Charly the small amount I am allowed to pay instead of filling the Birmingham and Palmer Park folk singers pockets.

Recently Charly couldn’t keep up his bills and moved into the Tabatha. A few weeks ago after he appeared at the Absolute Zero (another Birmingham pocket book with a good ides) he returned to sleep at the coffee house. That night he collapsed on the floor with Hepatitis. For four days he layed on the floor unable to move without food or water. He yelled, the best he could for help to everyone that came to the door.

Finally on Thursday his friend Mike, broke in and called the police to take him to the Hospital. They took him to Detroit Recieving Hospital. They checked him over, told him he had the flu, and wanted to discharge him even though he couldn’t move and was almost dead. After about 5 hours, seeing he was still there, they checked him again and finally realized how bad he really was so they gave him a bed. (Before he was on a rolling bed). In the process his clothes, his fridge jacket, and the little money he had disappeared. This was all he had and it was worth more memories than money anyway.

We are now in the process of having the State replace the articles with little results. Meanwhile he has been transfered to Wayne County General Hospital in Room 517 where he is being treated like a king even though he is a freak folk singer.pr-mi, (Hurray for the heads at Wayne County jGeneralfl just hope some of these crazy people do something against the screwed heads at Detroit Recieving instead of destroying good peoples hard work. Thanks.
