“Guitar Army’’ is the instrumental “A” side of the new Rationals single backed with “Sunset”. Supposedly to be released, in two weeks, the single will be on their own label called “Genesis”. The group did not appear on the Tom Shannon show on the 29th as Scot was too “sick”

and they were told by the shows producer, at the last moment to do two songs instead of one. As this was obviously out of the question, Larry Feldman, the groups “manager”, said they could only do one whereupon he was told “You do both — or none!” Larry was quite pleased to say “none”.

Steve Farmer (ex Dukes) has reportedly sold some of his songs to the Lettermen.

Which local group manager knowingly sold a bum used car to a local clubowner?

Nice to see that Scott Ashton (Stooges) finally stopped watching T.V. at Scott Richards house! Also interesting to know that Robin

Pale (ex S.R.C.) used to be a road manager for the Rationals. ‘ Look out for new super group from Bob Hawkins! Including Stoney (Wilson Mower Pursuit) and Terry Kelly. Speaking of Stoney - the one from the Jagged Edge won’t release any of .his original songs to groups who . would like to record or perform them. Seems a shame because they’re quite good. .'

Lighthouse —' the Toronto oriented jazz-rock-souledclic band featured Ralph Coleiand Skip ProkOp debuted in Toronto on the 14th March. On the 15th (the next day) they played the Boston Pop Festival. Both times they closed with “8 miles high”. Both times a they were given standing ovations, Faaarrrrout!

Wonder if anyone applied any pressure to get Albert King to cancel at the last minute? :

Don’t miss Brian Auger with Julie at the ballroom next month with Chuck Berry.

The reason there was never a review of the MC-5 album in this paper is because nobody bothered to get one to us to review.

Mickey Waller the old drummer for Jeff Beck is now forming a band with Leigh Stevens (ex Blue Cheer).

Keith Relf is ncwplaying “lead guitar? with. a new group called “to-gether’\

The MC-5 appear to be bombing^ in most places that they are appearing.' Then again most of the places they are appearing at are being cancelled before they get there. Bill Graham, of Fillmore fame, described the group as being, “insufficiently revolutionary.” Apparantly the audience at Denver thought the same as there were shouts of “Plastic!” and eggs

The Blue Cheer suck!

thrown from the audience. That just proves where they’re really at!

Tom Wright is the manager of the Grande Ballroom. Tom is also a photographer in fact he took the SRC Album cover photos. He took them for free and gave the pictures to the band asking only for a copy of the album. The band said that would be easy to arrange.

When the album was released Tom received a note saying that the album was in the stores and he could buy a copy,

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

In coming issues we will be printing pieces from the collections of local poets.

Anyone caring to submit any of their Work is very welcome to do so. Please send copies (no originals please) to:
