BORN IN THE USA: THE MOVIE

1985 proved to be an unbelievably glorious year for Bruce Springsteen. Bruce’s Born In The USA album reached sales of over nine million copies in the U.S. alone. He toured all over the world (and in many of those places donated money to charity), received a bunch of music awards, released seven singles from his album, starred in five videos, participated in the USA For Africa “We Are The World” event, got married and also took part in Steve Van Zandt’s Sun City project.

WATCH FOR IT!

By the way, Born In The USA still sits in the Top 10 after 69 weeks on the charts!! And there’s even more from Bruce on the way!

Plans for a movie titled Born In The USA are in the preproduction stages this very moment. One of film’s greatest newcomers—Michael J. Fox—will star (during his hiatus from Family Ties) and Springsteen will write a new title song for the picture. The story itself is along the lines of such recent hits as Terms Of Endearment and Ordinary People. “The film is basically a family drama, with lots to say about rock ’n’ roll,” a spokesperson for the movie said. Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver) wrote the script for the movie...and will direct as well.

So, this year we can all look forward to even more from two greats: Michael J. Fox and Bruce Springsteen. Watch for it!
