Confessions of a FILMFOX
The Fords have certainly racked up quite a lot of mileage on the star circuit. Brother Steven was backstage at a Peter Frampton concert pumping Peter's hand and gushing that the pretty boy was his absolute favorite rock star. (Then why were the Bay City Rollers invited to the White House?) Jack-boy prefers the dark, sultry female model — like Bianca Jagger, who he had over to the House one day for some tea and sympathy — much to the First Momma's disapproval.

Betty was so peeved that she told the press that Jack and Bianca's "non-affair" was all created by Bianca and Mick. "Jack was merely sitting at a restaurant, perfectly alone, when Bianca came over and joined him.. Mrs. Jaggerwas obviously looking for publicity.''Well then, Mrs. Prez, what was Jack looking for?
Although David Bowie brought Iggy along with him on his European tour in the capacity of court jester, Davey really had this silly whim to bring Alfred Hitchcock along not only for the ride, but to recreate on a rock and roll stage his infamous trademark. You know, the 20-second cameoHitch always slips into his flicks. Alfred -politely declined, but implied that if Bowie had wanted him to sing harmonies on "Golden Years" his reply might have been different. Fonziemania? First came the T-shirts decorated with his punk mug, next it was his own mag, Fonz, and now he's been offered several recording contracts, as well as the opportunity to have his own spin-off series. All the "Fonz" (aka Henry Winkler) had to say was: "Cool it." Translated: "Fonz was born on Happy Days and that's where he'll die P
See you in the funny papers: Somebody out there likes us. Remember Kiss Komix in one of the past issues of CREEM? Well Stan Lee, the big cheese of Marvel Comics does, because he wants to take the gruesome foursome and put theirfaces in a Marvel super hero series.. .Not only are Kiss going to be recreated on newsprint, also are going to be up on that silver screen. They are considering a remake of With Six You Get Egg Roll. What?
Come back when you grow up, girl. Tiny Tanya • Tucker is 18 now, so why shouldn't she single date? We spotted her at Le Restaurant in Los Angeles with Anson Williams of Happy Days. Does she kiss on the first date? I don't know but "Potsy" and Tanya were holding hands, under the table.
^ Shirley MacLaine was asked how she felt about her brother's, (Beautiful Warren Beatty) X-rated film, Hardcore. Without even batting a false eyelash she retorted: "It would be interesting — I haven't seen Warren nude since he was three!" Wonder what Warren's girlfriend, Michelle Phillips is saying? Probably not much because she's been busy herself. Michelle is trilling the theme song to Mother, Jugs, and Speed. The tune is titled "No Love Today,''and is the first time since her days with the Mamas and Papas that she's exercised those gilded chords. MamaM. is also starring in the role of Natasha Rambova to Rudolf Nureyev's title role in Ken Russell's Valentino epic. (No, Norma, Roger Daltrey won't be in this one too). Warren will be keeping an eye on his blonde baby; he's leased a four-bedroom house in London for the four months Michelle will be filming there, Maybe his sis and her fellow will take one of those spare rooms, since Shirley will be playing the London Palladium at the same time. iYou rememberShirl's guy, Pete Hamill — the one who won a Grammy for writing the liner notes on Dylan's Blood on the Tracks album. When Shirley played London last time, none other than Elton John came to nearly every performance. But instead of writing her a mash note, Old EJ is writing the liner notes on her new album Alive At The Palace. Gee , and all that time we thought BemieTaupin wrote the words... Mr. Peepers (EJ) does make the rounds; he squired Princess Margaret to the cinema the other night to see The Sunshine Boys.
So you couldn't be in Upper New England, Houston, Texas, or Madison Square Garden. Now all you have to do is touch that dial, because The Midnight Special filmed the Florida performance of the Rolling Thunder Revue to be aired in the fall. Now you'll be able to see closeups of Joni Mitchell's unwashed hair, Bob Dylan's kinetic eyes, Joan Baez's muscular arms brought to you by the wonder of TV.
Make room for Daddy? I mean David. Mario Thomas, Danny's kid now going out with David Geffen, formerly of David and Cher. This does not compute, compute, compute compute... Okay, first there was Mr. Machine by Mattel. Then Lee Majors appeared as The Six Million Dollar Man. Now Lindsay Wagner plays The Bionic Woman, so naturally, or should 1 say unnaturally, there should bea bionic baby, right? Well, there will be, hut Lee Majors and Lindsay won't be the proud parents. Julie Christie is. In her new movie, The Demon Seed, she "makes it" with a promiscuous robot named Proteus, and gets preggy with her own bionic bundle of joy. CREEM's Barry and Connie Kramer premiered " J.J.," their own little bundle of tax-deductible joy on May Day, just minutes before Daddy won his bold bet on the Kentucky Derby.
Looks like that's all for now, somebody just pulled out my plug...
